9 December 2010 One Comment

Student rioters in London have reportedly kicked in the window of a car carrying Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. Paint was also rumoured to have been thrown over the car.

Despite the car window being smashed, Prince Charles and Camilla are said to be unhurt.

The Prince’s car was attacked during violent demonstrations over a government vote to triple the price of university fees.

The incident happened on Regent St as Prince Charles and Camilla were on their way to the London Palladium to watch the 2010 Royal Variety Performance.

“We can confirm that Their Royal Highnesses’ car was attacked by protestors on the way to their engagement at the London Palladium this evening, but Their Royal Highnesses are unharmed,” a royal spokesman said. Prince Charles and Camilla stayed at the London Palladium to watch the performance.
